一、团队简介
      团队面向国家战略需求,围绕南方海洋科学与工程广东省实验室(广州)核心研究方向,对南海珊瑚礁地质、生态与环境过程开展系统研究,揭示南海珊瑚礁生态过程及其对全球变化的响应与适应机制、揭示南海珊瑚礁的形成演化过程及其记录的气候环境演变历史、探索南海珊瑚礁的退化机理与生态修复技术等重大科学技术问题。
二、研究方向
      (1)珊瑚礁生态系统现代过程:研究珊瑚礁生态系统对全球变化的响应与适应机制,包括珊瑚礁生态系统的动态过程、珊瑚礁区的生物多样性及其功能、珊瑚共生功能体的组合与演变、珊瑚礁生态系统的碳循环、珊瑚礁对新污染物等人类活动的响应等。
      (2)珊瑚礁的地质过程:基于深钻研究南海珊瑚礁的形成演化历史及其记录的构造活动、海平面升降、温度变化、季风强度、生态演化等信息;基于珊瑚岩芯重建全新世高分辨率温度、ENSO、海平面、风暴活动等的变化过程与气候事件,及其对南海珊瑚礁的生态影响。

个人简介:
      余克服,男,1969年生,理学博士,教授(二级),博士生导师。“长江学者”特聘教授、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、国家“万人计划”科技创新领军人才等诸多重要称号。自1992年以来一直专注于南海珊瑚礁地质、生态与环境研究,多次考察南沙群岛、西沙群岛、中沙群岛、海南岛、雷州半岛、涠洲岛和南海西岸的珊瑚礁,发表学术论文500多篇。在南海珊瑚礁生态过程、珊瑚对全球变化的响应与适应机制、历史时期珊瑚的白化与恢复周期、珊瑚礁记录的全新世气候(温度、风暴、El Nino)事件与高分辨率气候过程、珊瑚礁记录的全新世海平面变化历史、南海珊瑚礁的形成演化历史等方面取得研究进展。曾获中国第四纪青年科学家奖、广西自然科学一等奖、广西教学成果一等奖等;曾被评为中国科学院广州教育基地优秀研究生导师、中国科学院优秀研究生导师。
