1. Personal Profile:

Yang Huayong is a Ph.D. and Professor, serving as a full-time Principal Investigator (PI) at the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou) since 2020. He has been engaged in long-term basic research, technological breakthroughs, equipment development, and talent cultivation in the fields of marine observation and detection.

From 1992 to 2002, he obtained his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT). From 2002 to 2016, he served as a lecturer, associate professor, professor/department head at NUDT, and as a senior visiting scholar at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia. From 2016 to 2020, he was the General Manager and Technical Director of the Marine Subsidiary of Jiangsu Zhong Tian Technology Co., Ltd., and the Director of the Jiangsu Marine Observation Engineering Research Center.
