Facing the strategic needs of the country, our team focuses on the discovery and application of functional factors related to health, carries out the exploration and application of special microbial resources in extreme environments, such as the deep sea, and promotes the high-value utilization of marine algae, fish and shellfish and other biological resources, around the core research directions of the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou) and Guangdong Engineering Research Center of High-Value Utilization and Equipment Development of Marine Biological Resources. It also focuses on the food for special marine operators and the development of intelligent manufacturing equipment for marine food. It carries out research on special nutritional food for long-term seafarers and develops prefabricated, finished, standardized and specialized dietary and production systems for the special needs of different marine operations.
