Coastal Remote Sensing Big Data Application and Research
Group Profile
Our team focuses on the coastal unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) remote sensing network and coastal remote sensing big data technology. The research topics includes coastal UAV remote sensing networking technology, intelligent information extraction of coastal remote sensing, coastal resource and environmental situational awareness, etc., with the objective of addressing the core scientific and technological challenges associated with the sustainable development of coastal zone resources and the ecological sustainability.
Research Directions
(1) Coastal UAV remote sensing networking technology: Research on coastal UAV remote sensing networking technology for complex environment and high-intensity human activities in the South China Sea and its surrounding areas, and construct a cloud-edge collaborated UAV remote sensing network in the coastal zone of South China Sea.
(2) Coastal Remote Sensing Scientific Data Center: Develop the data platform for processing, analysing and applying coastal remote sensing big data, including formulating key technical standards for classification, management, expression and analysis of multi-source scientific data, and building a sharing service system for coastal ecological remote sensing scientific data.
(3) Coastal environmental situational awareness and disaster assessment: Research on intelligent identification and analysis for the environmental situation in the coastal zone, including remote sensing inversion and information extraction of key environmental elements, construction of coastal knowledge maps, and disaster risk assessment models for extreme hazard events.
