Research Areas:
Wenliang Zhou specializes in animal ecology and conservation biology. His research addresses critical scientific questions related to the adaptive evolution and biodiversity conservation of terrestrial and marine endangered species. He has developed technical protocols for obtaining pure coral samples and constructing high-quality coral genomes, and explores mechanisms driving the evolution and stability of coral reef ecosystems under global change and intensified human activities. His research achievements not only provide support for national strategies such as South China Sea stability, marine ecological civilization, and the Maritime Silk Road initiative, but also promote the conservation of globally endangered flagship species and biodiversity.
