Focusing on strategic deep-sea development, this platform aims to establish key support and guarantee conditions for deep-sea energy resource exploration and the utilization of biological resources in extreme habitats. It seeks to provide experimental research capabilities for cold seep evolution and resource-environment coupling, the discovery of deep-sea natural bio-compounds and functional genes, and the development of marine functional foods and innovative pharmaceuticals. Emphasis will be placed on building capacities in resource exploration simulation, microbiological experimentation, chemical analysis, and product formulation development, thereby supporting and promoting research demonstration and application in deep-sea biological resource exploitation and high-value processing.
